About
Tibi Hegyesi is an independent Toronto
based visual artist with a MA in design and
visual communication received in 1983 from
the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Romania.
Following graduation he was a gallery artist whose works were shown in numerous
national and international art events and exhibitions.
He moved to Toronto in 1990 and had to put his art aside, although not
out-of-the-way, and was
a practicing designer and a branding strategist
until 2006 when he decided to follow his life
long dream of being a full time visual artist,
once more. He then re-emerged
on the world art scene as
a mature artist whose distinctiveness lies
in his ability to capture and translate the
essence of the world around him into unique
and powerful contemporary visuals of an unseen
depth of field and richness of color.
Tibi's new art
Exploring the endless realm of
visual art with its characteristic enthusiasm
for all that is new, Tibi is challenging his
creativity, experience and artistic skills
to rebrand himself as an
artist and to find new and proprietary ways of
expressing his vision in art. His incessant experimentation
with new ideas and techniques
in art has led him to the development of the
Fused
Acrylics (details), a
term he coined for his
innovative
painting method
that allows him to create art through
a visual language that's truly of his
own.
